Those covers are designed according to Gabriel García Márquez’s three books: Autumn of the Patriarch, Love in the Time of Cholera, and One Hundred Years of Solitude. The complicated and deep theme are expressed by means of abstract image and shape.
“Exploration Chocolate Bars” is a series of four different flavors chocolate bars based on the same theme of space. Each chocolate bars has different space elements, such as spaceship, astronauts, planets, moon and stars. For box, I use the concentric circles to represent the whole universe.
The Dynasty Playing Cards are designed based on Chinese historical figures. The headwear and clothing in the card are inspired by culture in Tang Dynasty, and the difference of figure represents the hierarchy of Tang Dynasty from king to military generals. The back side of the playing cards is inspired by the design of window in Tang dynasty. The box is the imperial palace that integrate all visual elements from the playing cards.
